IC 3710 is a faint , irregular dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type dE in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 43 million light years away from the Milky Way and is 15,000 light years across. She is listed as a member of the Virgo galaxy cluster under catalog number VCC 1992 .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4640 , NGC 4641 , IC 3718 , IC 3720 .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 10, 1904 .
