IC 3967 is a lenticular galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Hounds in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 372 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 45,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies IC 3940 , IC 3966 , IC 4028 , IC 4049 .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on March 21, 1903 .
