IC 4418 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E3 in the constellation Bootes the northern sky . It is an estimated 494 million light years from the Milky Way and about 85,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 1013 , IC 1017 , IC 1018 , IC 4420 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on June 18, 1895 .
