At the International German Motorcycle Championship 2020 , titles will be awarded in the IDM Superbike , IDM Supersport 600, IDM Superstock 600, IDM Supersport 300 and IDM Sidecar classes.

Distribution of points

The world champion will be the driver or manufacturer who has accumulated the most points in the world championship by the end of the season. When distributing points, the placements are taken into account in the overall result of the respective race. The top fifteen drivers in each race receive points according to the following scheme:

Superbike 1000

useful information

  • The starting grid for the second race is determined by the timed practice from position 10. The first nine places are determined by the result from the first race. The first three drivers are on the third row of the grid. Places 1 and 3 are swapped. In the second row, the drivers are in positions 7, 8 and 9. The first row is made up of the drivers in positions 4, 5 and 6.
  • The season was shortened to four events due to the corona pandemic , all races are planned without spectators.
  • All events will be broadcast live on Facebook and YouTube .

  • The class starts together with the Supersport 600, but is rated separately. At the end of the season, a "German Champion" title is not awarded in this class, but a cup winner is chosen.
