iOS 8 is the eighth major version of the iOS mobile operating system developed by Apple Inc. to replace iOS 7 . It was announced on June 2, 2014 at the company's Worldwide Developers Conference and made available to all users on September 17, 2014.
Innovations
An updated QuickType keyboard has been introduced to provide contextual word suggestions. A function has been built in to facilitate communication between devices. For example, you can answer an SMS on a Mac or iPad or take calls. There is a new Spotlight Suggestions search result function that provides more detailed results. There is also a new family share, where families can link their accounts in order to be able to exchange content.
