App clips

The new App Clips feature will allow small apps up to 10 MB in size to be started directly , for example via NFC or QR codes designed by Apple . This new feature is very similar to the Android instant app feature . These QR codes will also be able to be shared via iMessage in the future .

Picture-in-picture playback is also available as a new function, with which you can watch a running video while opening another app.

Translator and offline speech recognition

Apple has also introduced a new translation app (similar to Google Translate ) that can be used to translate completely offline. Thanks to the app library, all apps no longer have to be available on the home screen, which is why individual pages of the home screen can be hidden.
