The ITF Future Nord 2017 was a combined men's and women's tennis tournament that took place from June 20 to 25 on the grounds of the TC at the Schirnau in Kaltenkirchen . As a men's tournament, it was part of the ITF Future Tour 2017 and as a women's tournament it was part of the ITF Women's Circuit 2017 . Both parts of the tournament came with $ 15,000 in prize money. The tournament director was Henner Steuber.

Participant fields

There was a 32 field each in the singles. Of these, 20 places were awarded on the basis of world ranking positions. A further eight places were played in a qualifying tournament, which also took place in Kaltenkirchen on June 17th and 18th.

The remaining four places were given as wild cards . There was a special wildcard tournament for two of these places, which was held on June 13th and 14th on the grounds of TV Grün-Weiß Hannover . Dominik Bartels ( Suchsdorfer SV ) and Linus Krohn ( SV Blankenese ) secured themselves for the men , and Sophie Intert ( TC Rot-Weiß Wahlstedt ) and Angelina Wirges ( DTV Hannover ) for the women . Another wildcard was awarded by the Schleswig-Holstein tennis association. These went to Niklas Guttau ( NTSV Strand 08 ) and Amelie Intert (TC Rot-Weiß Wahlstedt). The fourth wildcard was awarded by the DTB and went to Felix Samsel ( Club zur Vahr ) and Eva Marie Voracek ( TC Grün-Weiss Luitpoldpark Munich ).

In the men's doubles, the field of participants was filled to 16 with three wild cards, while the women only had 12 pairs.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. For the men, $ 15,000 was to be given away, while for the women, $ 300 was deducted from the $ 15,000 prize money for initial medical care provided by the primary health care provider .
