I Terreni di Sanseverino DOC (Eng: The Land of Sanseverino ) are Italian red wines from the Macerata province in the Marche region . They have had a "controlled designation of origin " (Denominazione di origine controllata - DOC ) since 2004 , which was last updated on March 7, 2014.

I Terreni di Sanseverino is offered in two types of wine:

  • I Terreni di Sanseverino Rosso (also as Passito and "Superiore"). The wine must contain at least the following grape varieties : at least 50% Vernaccia nera . A maximum of 50% other red, non-aromatic grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the Marche region may be added - individually or together.
  • I Terreni di Sanseverino Moro : must contain at least 60% Montepulciano . A maximum of 40% other red grape varieties that are approved for cultivation in the Marche region may be added.

The cultivation and vinification of the wines are only permitted in the municipality of San Severino Marche in the Marche region .
