Emergence
After the contract with Combat Records with Fabulous Disaster was fulfilled, Impact Is Imminent first appeared on Capitol. The album was recorded in the Music Grinder and Record Two Mendocino studios. Produced by The H-Team, the album was mixed by Marc Senesac, who worked for the band on previous albums.
The cover shows the band laughing in an open car on a highway.
reception
Allmusic's Eduardo Rivadavia described Impact Is Imminent as a "total stinker". He criticized Steve Souza's lyrics. Also have Tom Huntings leave a big gap finish. Just Only Death Decides and Within the Walls of chaos were two of the "few bright spots". He gave 1.5 out of five stars. Impact Is Imminent reached number 137 in the US album charts.
