Ingrid Farin

Ingrid Farin (born August 23, 1942 in Łódź , Reichsgau Wartheland ) is a German actress and theater director .

Life

Ingrid Farin completed an external acting training at the Folkwang University of the Arts from 1964 to 1966 . During her studies she took on her first theater roles in the 1964/65 season at the Städtische Bühnen Essen . In the course of her career, Farin has had numerous engagements at city theaters and private theater stages as a freelance actress. She also regularly took on roles as an actress and director in independent theater productions, in acting projects for independent ensembles and in children's and youth theater .

After completing her training, theater engagements followed at the "Schauspielensemble Köln" (1967), the Städtische Bühnen Essen (1968), the Grenzlandtheater Aachen (season 1968/69), the Burghofbühne Dinslaken (1968-1970), the Theater Biel-Solothurn ( 1973) and at the Westfälische Kammerspiele Paderborn (season 1974/75). Then she shifted the focus of her work to appearances on Bonn and Cologne stages. She made several guest appearances at the Theater Central Bonn (1979–1981) and 1981/1982 at the Theater Der Keller in Cologne . In 1981 she appeared at the Westphalian State Theater Castrop-Rauxel as Rea in Romulus the Great by Friedrich Dürrenmatt .

After moving to the south of Germany, she continued to work as an actress, but shifted her artistic focus to directing in Bavaria's independent theater scene . During these years she appeared at Theater 44 in Munich , was on tour with Euro-Studio Landgraf in the 1985/86 and 1987/88 seasons and was a guest at the Saarland State Theater in Saarbrücken (1987).

Since 1986 she has been active as a director and artistic director at the “Theater Palette Ingolstadt”, a free theater made up of professionals and amateur actors. She founded the first children's and youth theater in Ingolstadt, “Die Theater Palette”, together with her husband. There she staged “classic” plays such as Die Glasmenagerie , Frühlings Erwachen (co-director) and Leonce and Lena , but devoted herself particularly intensively to children's theater with fairy tale plays and children's book adaptations from Pippi Longstocking to Pumuckl . She took on further directing work at the “Artemis Theater” in Munich-Laim , at the theater ... and so on , at the “Kulturmobil Niederbayern” and the “Theatergruppe Heblos”.

Since the mid-1980s, Ingrid Farin has also been in front of the camera in small roles for film and television productions. She starred in several short films and also took on roles in court shows and scripted reality formats. In the 9th ZDF film - Herzkino TV series Marie catches fire : All or nothing (first broadcast: November 2019), she played the dementia patient Ms. Ott , with Sylta Fee Wegmann as her partner .

Ingrid Farin is married to the former Ingolstadt actor Detlev Moreth-Moreau (* 1945). Their son is the actor Konstantin Moreth . She lives in Munich.
