Ingrid Siess-Scherz was born on November 11, 1965 in the Austrian capital Vienna. There she also attended compulsory schools and graduated in 1984 from the modern language federal high school Vienna XVI in the 16th district of Vienna Ottakring . Professional background

During her studies at the University of Vienna , Ingrid Siess-Scherz was first a study assistant and then a contract assistant at the Institute for Constitutional and Administrative Law with University Professor Heinz Mayer . In 2012 Ingrid Siess-Scherz was nominated by the federal government as a new judge at the Constitutional Court at the suggestion of the SPÖ . Federal President Heinz Fischer then appointed Siess-Scherz as constitutional judge on June 20, 2012. She is currently a permanent speaker at the Constitutional Court.
