history
The International School Bangkok was founded in 1951 on Rajadamri Street in Bangkok, making it the first private school in Thailand. Initially, 50 children from American and UN households were registered with the pupil who were supposed to enjoy English-language classes. In 1960 the school moved to Sukhumvit Street , Soi 15. A little later, a second school site was opened on Vibhavadi Rangsit Street , but it was closed again after the US troops withdrew in the mid-1970s.
In 1992 the school finally moved to its current location, which was built for around 18 million euros and is self-supporting.
