The 2004/05 international cricket season took place between September 2004 and April 2005. The winter season was mainly home games for teams from South Asia, the Caribbean and Oceania. The tests carried out on the international tours formed the basis for the ICC Test Championship . The ODIs formed the basis for the ICC ODI Championship . The season included the first international Twenty20 game.
