Interzonal tournament Subotica 1991

The 1991 women's interzonal tournament in Subotica was used to determine six participants in the candidates' tournament for the 1993 women's world chess championship . The tournament took place in November 1991 in Subotica . For the first time, an interzonal tournament for women was held in the Swiss system . The 35 participants completed 13 rounds.

  • The Sonneborn-Berger evaluation was used as a fine evaluation.
  • The Nigerain Chidi only started the tournament in the third round, in which she was initially free of play.
