The Iona-Skeleton Coast Transfrontier Park is a cross-border nature reserve project between Namibia and Angola . In Angola, the cross-border park includes the Iona National Park . In Namibia it includes the Namib Skeleton Coast National Park .

A formal declaration of intent for the establishment of the protected area was signed by the environment ministries of both countries in June 2016. The proclamation was scheduled to run until November 2016 and finally took place on May 3, 2018.
