Irene Sharaff

Irene Sharaff (born January 23, 1910 in Boston , Massachusetts , † August 10, 1993 in New York City , New York ) was an American costume designer .

Irene Sharaff worked as a costume designer for the major Broadway productions as well as for Hollywood . Alongside Edith Head, she was considered the most successful costume designer. She has received numerous Academy Award nominations and a total of five Academy Awards for her work . She mainly designed the costumes for women.
