Irina Zymbalowa ( Russian Ирина Цымбалова , English transcription : Irina Tsimbalova, born August 9, 1987 in Alma-Ata ) is a Kazakh beach volleyball player .

Career

Zymbalowa played her first open tournaments of the FIVB World Tour in Kristiansand and Dubai with Jelena Alenkina in 2008 . At the 2009 open tournament in Stare Jabłonki she competed for the first time with her new partner Tatjana Maschkowa . Maschkowa / Zymbalowa played their first Grand Slam in Beijing in 2011. In the same year they finished ninth in the Asian championship in China. In 2012 they finished 17th at the Åland Open and fifth in Bang Saen . They were also at the 2012 Asian Championship. In 2013 they came in 17th place at the Grand Slam in Corrientes . At the World Championships in Stare Jabłonki Maschkowa / Zymbalowa reached the main round, where they were eliminated against the Finnish siblings Nyström / Nyström . There was another 17th place in Gstaad before they reached the top ten in ninth place at the Anapa Open. After three 25th places in a row they were fifth in the Grand Slam in Xiamen and then third in the Asian Cup.

The World Tour 2014 began Maschkowa / Zymbalowa with two 25th places in Fuzhou and Shanghai . Then they finished ninth in the Prague Open and fifth in the Asian Cup. In the further course of the FIVB series, two 17th places at the Grand Slams in Berlin and Long Beach were her best results. In November they finished fifth in the Pattaya Challenger. In the 2015 World Tour , they first finished ninth in the Luzern Open, before achieving weaker results at the Prague Open, the Grand Slam in Moscow and the majors in Poreč and Stavanger . At the World Cup in the Netherlands , they came third in the group and were eliminated after beating the German duo Laboreur / Sude in the round of 16 against the Canadians Bansley / Pavan , which meant they ended the tournament in ninth place. After that, there were only a few double-digit results on the World Tour before Maschkowa / Zymbalowa finished ninth at the Open tournaments in Sochi , Xiamen and Antalya . The World Tour 2016 started for her with back places at the Maceió Open and the Grand Slam in Rio de Janeiro . After a fifth place in the Asian Cup, they played a few more Asian tournaments. Then they came in 17th place at the Sochi Open, 33rd place in the Grand Slam in Moscow and 25th place in the Hamburg Major.

In 2017 Zymbalowa played with the 16-year-old Tatiana Nikitina .
