Ivan Slatew ( Bulgarian Иван Златев ; English Ivan Slatev ; born August 1, 1990 in Bansko ) is a former Bulgarian biathlete .

Ivan Slatew contested her first race in 2007 in the junior races of the European Cup . The first international championship was the 2008 Junior World Championships in Ruhpolding , where he was 87th in the individual and 18th in the relay. In the following year he started in the junior races of the European Championships 2009 in Ufa and finished 29th in the individual, 25th in the sprint, 21st in the pursuit and sixth in the relay. In 2010 he first took part in the Junior World Championships in Torsby , where he was 32nd of the individual, 62nd of the sprint and 13th of the relay race. A little later, Slatew also ran in the junior races of the European Championships 2010 in Otepää and reached places 40 in the individual, 42 in the sprint, 37 in the pursuit and sixth with Emilija Jordanowa , Nija Dimitrova and Dimitar Gerdschikow in the mixed relay. In 2011 the Bulgarian contested his last junior race. In Nové Město na Moravě Slatew was at the Junior World Championships 29th of the individual, 38th of the sprint, 42nd of the pursuit and 15th with the relay. This was followed by the European Championships in Ridnaun , where he was 27th in the sprint, 30th in the pursuit and ninth in the relay with Nija Dimitrova, Dessislawa Stojanowa and Dimitar Gerdschikow. He didn't finish the individual. In the further course of the season he also started at the Summer Biathlon World Championships in Nové Město, where he was 15th in the sprint and ninth in the pursuit. At the side of Nija Dimitrova, Stefani Popowa and Anton Sinapov , he won the bronze medal in the mixed relay behind Russia and Slovenia.

Slatew made his men's debut in 2008 in Obertilliach , where he was 87th of an individual. He won his first points later in the season as 39th in a sprint in Osrblie . Only a little later he achieved his best result so far in the second highest racing series in international biathlon with a sixth place in a pursuer in Bansko . In 2011 he made his debut in the World Cup in a relay race alongside Michail Kletscherow , Vladimir Iliew and Miroslaw Kenanow in Oberhof, where he was 21st. In the following sprint he reached 91st place. In Antholz he achieved his best result in a single race in the World Cup with a 71st place in the sprint. The first international championship for men was the European championships in Borovets , where Slatev was 60th of the individual, 48th of the sprint and 33rd of the pursuit.
