Jänickendorf is a district of the Steinhöfel community in the Oder-Spree district in the state of Brandenburg .
Geographical location
The district is north of the community center and borders in the north on the Maxsee of the city of Müncheberg . This is followed in a clockwise direction by the other districts of Schönfelde and Beerfelde , the district of Trebus zu Fürstenwalde / Spree and the two districts of Hangelsberg and Kienbaum , both of which belong to the community of Grünheide (Mark) . The northern and southeastern part of the district is forested; the remaining areas are mainly used for agriculture. The village green is located roughly in the center of the district and extends in a west-east direction.
history
Jänickendorf was first mentioned in a document in 1354 when it came to a legal dispute between Ludwig VI. and Heinrich von Banz , the bishop of Lebus came. The place already existed at that time, because the village church was built in the third quarter of the 13th century. Other spellings were Jäkendorff , Jankindorp and Jenkendorf . After the Thirty Years' War, craftsmen added a tower top to the west tower - possible consequences of the acts of war. In the centuries that followed, life in the village was dominated by agriculture. After the end of the Second World War , the land reform led to significant upheavals in existing structures. In 1956 the community set up a harvest kindergarten in the former school building , which was developed into a kindergarten in 1959. In 1960 an LPG was formed with an MTS , which was converted into an agricultural cooperative after the fall of the Berlin Wall . In 1992 the kindergarten closed, in 1998 the agricultural cooperative.
2001 followed the connection to Steinhöfel.
