Jörg W. Gronius

Jörg Werner Gronius (born September 18, 1952 in Berlin ) is a German writer and publicist .

Gronius comes from the Berlin working class. He studied theater studies , German , ethnology and religious studies at the Free and Technical University of Berlin . From 1979 to 1982 he was dramaturge at the Schaubühne Berlin . In 1983 he received his doctorate in theater studies and then worked as a dramaturge and director at various theaters until 1997 , for example at the Burgtheater in Vienna , the Free Volksbühne and the State Drama Theaters in Berlin and the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg. Today he lives as a freelance writer in Saarbrücken .

Gronius has so far emerged as a writer of dramas , librettos , prose , poetry , features , essays and novels . He is also a member of the PEN Center Germany .
