Jürgen Roth (writer)

Jürgen Roth (* 1968 in Berleburg ) is a German writer .

life and work

The author experienced several changes of location as a teenager. He lived at times in Hamburg , Bonn , the Netherlands and Brussels . He then studied German literature , philosophy and political science in Tübingen and at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main , where he later also received his doctorate. Jürgen Roth lives as a freelance writer in Frankfurt am Main. He regularly publishes culturally critical and political articles in the Zeitschrift zeitung , in der Junge Welt , taz , Titanic and other publications. The main focus of his writing activities are satire and football . Roth is a supporter of FC Bayern Munich and is one of the appointed members of the German Academy for Football Culture . He is also a lecturer in linguistics.
