Jablonowski ( Russian Яблоно́вский ) is an urban-type settlement in the southern Russian Republic of Adygeja with 26,171 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The settlement is located in the northern foothills of the Caucasus a good 100 kilometers northwest of the republic capital Maikop on the left bank of the Kuban directly opposite Krasnodar , the capital of the neighboring federal subject , the Krasnodar region .
Jablonowski belongs to the Tachtamukaiski district , whose administrative center Tachtamukai (formerly Oktyabrskoje ) is eight kilometers southeast. As a de facto suburb of Krasnodar, the settlement is the second largest town in the Adygea republic after its capital Maikop.
Almost a quarter of the population are “Adygej” , two thirds are Russians (2002 census).
history
The place received the status of an urban-type settlement in 1958 in place of the former village Jablonowka . The old form of the name is still used by the residents today.

Economy and Infrastructure
In Jablonowski there are companies in the food industry (e.g. fruit and vegetable preserves). However, most of the residents are employed in neighboring Krasnodar.
The settlement is located on the important railway line Rostov-on-Don - Krasnodar - Novorossiysk or - Sochi (station name Kuban ).
The A146 Krasnodar - Krymsk - Novorossiysk road runs through Jablonovsky .
