Jacques Besson (cyclist)

Jacques Besson (born May 5, 1918 in Mont-la-Ville ; † August 25, 1984 in Lausanne ) was a Swiss cyclist .

Jacques Besson was a professional cyclist from 1941 to 1956. With eight national championship titles of the stayers , he was the most successful Swiss cyclist in this discipline. At the UCI track world championships in Zurich in 1946 , he was runner-up in the standing world championship, 20 centimeters behind the Italian Elia Frosio . In 1948 and 1949 he was also European champion. In 1954 he took third place.
