Arthur Pasquier

Arthur Frédéric Joseph Hélionor Vincent Pasquier (born March 1, 1883 in Coulongues-Thouarsais , † December 8, 1963 in Paris ) was a French cyclist and pacemaker .

Arthur Pasquier was initially a cyclist. In 1903 he was seventh at Paris – Roubaix and third at Bordeaux – Paris . In 1909 he set the pace in standing races . He was active as such for over 50 years and became legendary. He won 39 titles, including four world titles with Victor Linart . In 1962 Arthur Pasquier drove his farewell race in the Prinzenparkstadion together with Roger Godeau .

His younger brother Ernest was also a pacemaker.
