Hugo Lorenzetti

Hugo Lorenzetti (born August 8, 1912 in Orpierre , † July 1, 1975 in Rousset-en-Vercors ) was a French cyclist and pacemaker .

Hugo Lorenzetti was a professional track cyclist from 1941 to 1943; During this time he took second place in the GP Cyclo-Sport de vitesse .

After the Second World War , Lorenzetti successfully shifted to being active as a pacemaker in standing races . At the UCI Track World Championships in 1959 , he led the French Bernard Desconinck to second place. At the 1966 World Cup in Frankfurt's Waldstadion , he led the Belgian stayer Romain De Loof to the professional world championship. In 1965 and 1967 the team took second place.

In 1968, Lorenzetti suffered serious injuries to his spine in a fall on a velodrome in Rome .
