Jakob Tögel

Jakob Tögel (born December 1, 1989 in Mistelbach ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Jakob Tögel comes from Zistersdorf in Lower Austria . He also grew up in Lower Austria. During his school days, from 2004 to 2009, he completed dual social education training at the Federal Institute for Social Education in Baden near Vienna and worked as a handicapped carer after school in Vienna .

He gained his first acting experience in 2011 and 2012 with independent theater groups in Vienna (“Das WERK Wien”, “Theaterkistl Wien”), including as a teacher Medwedjenko in the Chekhov play The Seagull in a production by Gregor Tureček . Tögel then completed his training as an actor from 2013 to 2017 at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding in Munich . During his training he took part in various productions, including at the Metropoltheater Munich and the Munich Academy Theater . His first training production was the fairy tale production Snow White in December 2013, directed by David Shiner. 2015 he joined The Golden Dragon by Roland Schimmelpfennig , directed by Jochen Schölch at the Metropol Theater in Munich. In the 2015/16 season he played the gate in a stage version of the film Wie im Himmel at the Munich Metropolitan Theater .

After completing his training, he signed a two-year contract with the Stadttheater Bremerhaven , where he was a permanent member of the ensemble in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons. He stepped there u. a. as Ferdinand in Der Sturm (2017), as Elwood Blues in Blues Brothers (2017-2019), as Lars Krogstad in Nora (2018), as Biff Loman in Death of a Salesman (2018), as Rico in Rico, Oskar und die Tieferschatten (2018) and as Nazi Ernst Ludwig in the musical Cabaret (2019). In the 2019/20 season he was a guest at the Bremerhaven City Theater as a prince in the Christmas production Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella .

Since 2015 he has also been in front of the camera in national and international cinema and television productions. He initially worked in college and graduation films. He also had roles in the German-Swedish coproduction Euphoria (2017) with Alicia Vikander and Eva Green in the leading roles and the US series Berlin Station . In the German TV movie Trapped - The case K. (2018) attached to the case gustl mollath is ajar, Tögel played alongside Jan Josef Liefers the doctor Dr. David. For ZDF he embodied the Nuremberg painter Albrecht Dürer in the Terra X documentary series .

During his acting training, Tögel lived in Munich's Glockenbachviertel in the Isarvorstadt near the Westermühlbach . After the end of his permanent engagement at the Stadttheater Bremerhaven, he again took up his primary residence in Munich.
