The Bounty Hunter (Comic)
The Bounty Hunter (French: Chasseur de primes ) is an album from the Lucky Luke comic series . It was drawn by Morris and written by René Goscinny and was first published in 1972.

Lucky Luke is assigned to capture the Cheyenne and horse handler Tea Spoon , who is said to have stolen a noble horse. The notorious bounty hunter Elliot Belt also learns about the story and wants to reap the high reward for himself. He bribed some Indians with alcohol and almost provoked an Indian war. Then he tries to attack the Cheyenne camp together with other bounty hunters. Lucky Luke is accused of being involved in the robbery and is tied up, but can quickly be freed by the accused Indian Tea Spoon . Together they can smooth things over and Tea Spoon decides to testify before the judge. In court it emerges that the horse breeder's wife had secretly removed the stallion out of jealousy. Since the horse has reappeared, the reward is donated to the Cheyenne and the bounty hunter himself is now wanted in a wanted list.

The story was first published in 1972 in Pilote magazine and in the same year as an album by Dargaud .
In 1973 it appeared in German in the Zack Comic Box series and in 1984 for the first time in the Ehapa series as Volume 43.
The story was filmed in 1991 for the Lucky Luke animated series.
