Jason Aalon Alexander Butler (born July 16, 1986 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American rock and punk musician .

Life

Jason Aalon Butler was born on July 16, 1986 in Los Angeles to the African American soul musician Aalon Butler and a white woman. Due to the fact that his father was permanently on tour with his soul band Aalon and his mother was struggling with the consequences of her leukemia , the young butler was forced to look after his younger sister even in his childhood. During his school days, Butler had difficulties integrating into school society, which was due to the intercultural marriage of his parents. In an interview, Butler said that his school friends were all from the social minorities, either African-American, Latino, or Asian . His brother has a senior position in the police force .

Butler has been married to the New Zealand singer Gin Wigmore since September 2014 . The wedding took place in a private setting in Hawaii . In several interviews, Butler said that he would later become a father himself so that his children could have a childhood that he never had. He said he had never used drugs before. He doesn't drink alcohol either .

Career

As a child of a musician, music played a huge role in his childhood. Even as a child, Butler listened to a lot of music spanning several musical genres. R&B , soul and pop music had a big influence on Butler. He lists musicians such as James Brown and Michael Jackson as musical influences .

In 2002 he formed the post-hardcore band letlive . to be able to pack his feelings in music. This is currently under contract with Epitaph Records and has already released four studio albums, which are quite successful on an international level. In April 2017 the band announced their breakup. In July, three months after letlive. Split up, Butler announced the creation of his new music project under the name The Fever 333 .

In early 2018, Butler announced the formation of the hardcore punk band Pressure Cracks .

Gentlemen in real life

In addition to his work as a rock musician, Butler runs his own fashion company called Gentlemen in Real Life . In an interview with the Australian Blunt Magazine , Butler talked about his passion for fashion, which he has had since childhood, as he grew up in poor conditions. GIRL sells a variety of fashion items from clothing and accessories to soaps and oils .
