Jean Dondelinger

Jean Dondelinger (born July 4, 1930 , † October 21, 2004 ) was a Luxembourg politician and diplomat .

He studied law in Nancy and Paris , where he obtained a doctorate and a political science license from St Antony's College , Oxford .

In 1958 he moved to the Luxembourg Foreign Ministry, where he became director of international economic relations. From 1975 to 1984 he was permanent representative of Luxembourg to the European Communities in Brussels . Then he became Secretary General in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg.

From 1989 to 1993 he was Commissioner for Information, Communication, Culture and Audiovisual Media in the Delors II European Commission . Then he was the representative of Luxembourg in Greece .
