Filippo Maria Pandolfi (born November 1, 1927 in Bergamo ) is a former Italian politician ( Democrazia Cristiana ).

Pandolfi studied philosophy at the Catholic University in Milan. From 1976 to 1988 he held various ministerial offices in the Italian Republic: he was Minister of Finance (1976–1978), Minister of the Treasury (1978–1980), Minister of Industry (1980–1981 and 1982–1983) and Minister of Agriculture (1983 -1988). From 1989 to 1993 he was sent by the Italian government to the second European Commission under President Jacques Delors . He appointed him Commissioner for Science, Research , Development and Telecommunications and Innovation .
