Jean Herrchen , actually Hans Theodor Georg Herrchen (born January 1, 1891 in Wiesbaden , † June 1, 1970 in Bad Schwalbach ), was a German NSDAP politician and district administrator of the Untertaunuskreis .

Life and work

Master came from a very simple background. His father was a cooper's assistant. Nevertheless, he was able to attend secondary school first and then switch to the Wiesbaden upper secondary school . He left this with the upper secondary qualification . He then entered the postal service as a candidate for the upper middle-class career . When he finished his job for the post in 1933, he was a post holder in Schlangenbad .

Since 1932 honorary district leader of the NSDAP for the Untertaunuskreis, Herrchen became provisional district administrator of the Untertaunuskreis after the National Socialist takeover in 1933, then finally district administrator in 1935. He gave up the district leadership in 1937. Between July 1941 and May 1942 Herrchen also represented the St. Goarshausen district as district administrator .

Until its dissolution in 1933, Herrchen was a district administrator in the Nassau municipal parliament in Wiesbaden and the provincial parliament of the Hesse-Nassau province . He was deputy board member of Nassauische Landesbank and board member of Kalmenhof in Idstein .

In 1943 he was transferred to Darmstadt as President of the Hessian Fire Insurance Chamber and, at the same time, was head of the NSV -auamt in Darmstadt. After the end of the war, he was removed from office. He served a three-year prison term in the Darmstadt internment and labor camp , from which he was released in 1948.
