Jels Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to the Harde Gram Herred in the Haderslev office at that time , then to the Rødding municipality in the Sønderjyllands office , which was merged into the "new" Vejen municipality in the Syddanmark region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .
2570 inhabitants live in the parish, including 2019 in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Jels Kirke" is located in the parish.
Neighboring municipalities are Skodborg Sogn in the north, Skrave Sogn in the north-west, Rødding Sogn in the west, Øster Lindet Sogn in the south- west, Oksenvad Sogn and Sommersted Sogn in the south-east in the neighboring Vojens commune and finally in the neighboring Kolding commune in the east Stepping Sogn and Ødis Sogn and in the northeast Vamdrup Sogn .
