Jens Oliver Zimmermann (born August 6, 1972 in Freudenstadt ) is a German sports presenter , entertainer and manager of athletes. He is the only German moderator, who at the 2010 Winter Olympics and 2014 as announcer worked for the Organizing Committee.

Life

Jens Zimmermann began his professional career in 1997 as press spokesman for the Stuttgarter Kickers and was also a stadium announcer there for several years. From 2002 to 2008 he was head of sports promotion at uhlsport GmbH, responsible for the promotion area for the Kempa and uhlsport brands . In 2009 he returned to SV Stuttgarter Kickers as managing director. In 2011 Zimmermann founded an agency. In addition to moderation, he also began working as an athlete manager. In 2014 he expanded his business area and founded an agency in Stuttgart . In May 2019, together with the company wohninvest_Holding, he developed the agency into a GmbH based in Fellbach .

As a moderator and stadium announcer, Jens Zimmermann has moderated over 500 events. Highlights of his presentations were next to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver and 2014 in Sochi , the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2005 in Oberstdorf , the Four Hills Tournament in Oberstdorf, the Handball World Cup 2007 , World Handball Championship 2019 , World Gymnastics Championships in 2019 , the Speed Skating World Cup 2008 in Berlin and 2011 in Inzell. Zimmermann is regularly active as the hall spokesman for the handball Bundesliga club TVB 1898 Stuttgart . In 2012 he hosted 12 editions of the show Kabinengeflüster on the Baden-Württemberg television station Regio TV Stuttgart . Since May 2020 he has been the moderator of the Academy Talk on Regio TV.

As a manager, Zimmermann looks after athletes such as Marcel Nguyen , Frank Stäbler , Anna Seidel , Johannes Rydzek , Manuel Faißt , Elisabeth Seitz , Andreas Toba , Coletta Rydzek , Lukas Kohl , Niko Kappel , Luis Brethauer , Daniel Bohnacker , Alexander Schmid and Aline Focken .
