Jeremy Yablonski (born March 21, 1980 in Meadow Lake , Saskatchewan ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player .
Career
Jeremy Yablonski began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian Junior League Western Hockey League , in which he was active from 1997 to 1999 for the Edmonton Ice and after their relocation for their successor team Kootenay Ice . He missed most of the 1998/99 season and the entire 1999/2000 season due to a severe concussion in training. The 2000/01 season began the winger with the WHL team Seattle Thunderbirds , for which he only played one game before he moved to the Phoenix Mustangs from the West Coast Hockey League for the rest of the season . He spent the 2001/02 season at their league rivals Idaho Steelheads . In the 2002/03 season he played for the Peoria Rivermen in the ECHL and the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks and Worcester IceCats in the American Hockey League . In Worcester he began the following season , where he was parallel in a game for their cooperation partner St. Louis Blues in the National Hockey League on the ice.
In January 2004, Yablonski was signed by the NHL team Nashville Predators , but played in the following two and a half years exclusively for their farm team Milwaukee Admirals in the AHL. He spent the entire 2006/07 season with his former Idaho Steelheads team, who had since been accepted into the ECHL. He then played for three years for the Binghamton Senators in the AHL and in the 2010/11 season for their league rivals Bridgeport Sound Tigers . For the 2011/12 season , the Canadian was committed by Vitjas Chekhov from the Continental Hockey League . There Yablonski, who is known for his aggressive style of play as an enforcer , fell on and off the ice several times due to excessive hardness and unsportsmanlike behavior, so that he was banned from the KHL in November 2011 for the rest of the season. At this point he had only played eight games for Vitjas due to various suspensions, but had already received 113 penalty minutes.
On June 6, 2013, his club Vitjas Chekhov announced that the contract with Jeremy Yablonski was terminated. The Canadian ended his active career with the Idaho Steelheads and Ontario Reign in the ECHL.
