Jesús Juárez Párraga SDB (born July 22, 1943 in Alquerías , Spain ) is a Spanish religious and emeritus Roman Catholic Archbishop of Sucre .

Life

Jesús Juárez Párraga entered the religious order of the Salesians of Don Bosco and received on 16 December 1972, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On April 16, 1988 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of rubber in Proconsulari and auxiliary bishop in La Paz . The Apostolic Nuncio in Bolivia , Archbishop Santos Abril y Castelló , donated him episcopal ordination on June 18 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of La Paz, Luis Sáinz Hinojosa OFM , and the Bishop of Oruro , Julio Terrazas Sandoval CSsR .

On June 25, 1994, John Paul II appointed him first bishop of the diocese of El Alto, which was established on the same date .

On February 2, 2013, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Archbishop of Sucre. The inauguration took place on March 20 of the same year.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on February 11, 2020.
