Jill Hennessy
Jillian "Jill" Noel Hennessy (born November 25, 1968 in Edmonton , Alberta , Canada) is a Canadian actress and musician who is best known in Europe for her leading role in the crime series Crossing Jordan - pathologist with profile .
Life
Hennessy grew up with her twin sister, Jacqueline Hennessy, and her younger brother, John Jr. Hennessy, with their father, a meat dealer. The mother, Maxine Hennessy, had left the family. Being multinational, she and her siblings speak five languages. In addition to English , Hennessy speaks fluent Italian , Spanish , French and German .
After high school, Hennessy became an actress and appeared in numerous television series and films. In 1993 she was one of the closest candidates for the role of Dana Scully in the hit series The X-Files - The FBI's Scary Cases . However, the part went to Gillian Anderson , whereupon Hennessy turned to the series Law & Order , in which she gained popularity as prosecutor Claire Kincaid . Between 1993 and 1996 she appeared in 68 episodes of the series. This was followed by roles in various Hollywood productions such as B. Molly (1999) with Elisabeth Shue and It began in September (2000) with Richard Gere and Winona Ryder .
In 2000, Hennessy married actor Paolo Mastropietro. In 2001, NBC planned a new crime series about a quick-witted pathologist and her team. The series Crossing Jordan - Pathologist with Profile with Hennessy in the lead role ran from 2001 to 2007 with great success. In 2003, Hennessy was pregnant with her first son, so the start of the third season was postponed by almost six months.
In June 2009 their first music album, Ghost In My Head , which was recorded in Austin , Texas , was released. Her second album, I Do , was released in 2015.
