Jill St. John

Jill St. John (* 19th August 1940 as Jill Arlyn Oppenheim in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actress .

Career

St. John began performing on stage and on the radio when he was five. In 1949 she had her first role in a television production. 1958, at the age of 18, she signed a contract with Universal Pictures and made her film debut in a supporting role in Summer Love alongside John Saxon . Various film roles followed, including the lead female role in Sunken World alongside Michael Rennie and Claude Rains .

She was nominated for a Golden Globe in 1964 for her role in the Oscar- nominated film If My Bedroom Could Talk , as did her co-stars Lee J. Cobb and Frank Sinatra . By the end of the 1960s she played various film roles, including the female lead in L - The Silent with Rod Taylor and The Snoop with Frank Sinatra. In 1971 she was the Bond girl Tiffany Case in Sean Connery's last official James Bond film, Diamond Fever , and the following year she played the lead role in Crimson Morning alongside Oliver Reed .

This was also her last major film role. As a result, she appeared almost exclusively in guest roles in various television series , including Hart but cordially , Magnum and Love Boat . With Robert Wagner , to whom she has been married since 1990, she toured in the late 1990s with the two-person play Love Letters . She had her last film appearance in 2002 in an unnamed supporting role in The Calling , in which her husband played the lead role. In addition, St. John has published several cookbooks and columns in USA Weekend magazine.

Private life

Jill St. John was married four times, from 1957 to 1958 with Neil Durbin, from 1960 to 1963 with the Formula 1 - racer Lance Reventlow , 1967-1969 with the singer Jack Jones , and from 1990 with Robert Wagner .
