Joachim Friedrich von der Hardt

Joachim Friedrich von der Hardt (* 1719 on Rügen ; † September 1779 in Königsberg in Prussia ) was a royal Prussian colonel and commander of Grenadier Regiment No. 4 .

Life

He became a Prussian cadet in 1733 and was assigned to Infantry Regiment No. 1 as a flag junior in 1738 . In 1740 he was made ensign , in 1742 as second lieutenant and in 1751 as premier lieutenant . He fought in the battles of Mollwitz , Chotusitz and Hohenfriedberg .

When the Saxons had to capitulate at Pirna during the Seven Years' War , the prisoners were placed in newly established Prussian regiments . This is how the S 50 infantry regiment ( Wietersheim ) came into being. In support of Prussian officers were placed in these regiments, then came Hardt 1756 Grenadier - captain in the regiment S 50. Until 1761, the regiment had but disbanded and so he became a Major to the post of commander of the dam at Stettin added.

After the war, in 1765 he was transferred as commander to Grenadier Regiment No. 4, which was composed of Garrison Regiments No. 2 and No. 1 . In 1771 he became a lieutenant colonel and in 1773 a colonel. He died in September 1779 in Königsberg in Prussia .

He was married to a daughter of the Pomeranian land rent master Vangerow, with whom he had a son.
