Joachim Nottke (born December 3, 1928 in Rostock , † June 17, 1998 in Berlin ) was a German author , actor and voice actor .

Life

The stage actor Nottke rarely appeared in film and television. Best known here is his role as a painter and troubled family man in the 1970s series Peter is the Boss .

In addition, Joachim Nottke worked extensively in dubbing from 1962 and lent his rough, memorable voice to numerous internationally known colleagues, for example Robert Mitchum (among others in A Question of Honor , The Sky Over the Desert or Cape Fear ), Jason Robards ( Crimson Tide or Philadelphia ), Pat Morita (as a wise karate master in Karate Kid II , III and IV as well as in his similar role in the police series Ohara ), George Kennedy (including Dallas ), Raymond Burr ( Das Fenster zum Hof ) or William Windom (in his recurring role as the grumpy small town doctor in Murder is her hobby ). Joachim Nottke was married to the actress and children's book author Maria Axt , after whose death he wrote other children's books under her name. His daughter is the actress and voice actress Katja Nottke .

He rests in the Berlin cemetery in Dahlem , next to his wife.
