Joachim Relin

Joachim Relin (actually Hans Joachim Balke; born July 31, 1921 in Beelitz ; another pseudonym: Franz Kendler) is a former German radio presenter and songwriter .

Life

In 1945 he co-founded the cabaret The Bereaved . From 1950 he headed the entertainment department at Radio Salzburg . Since 1963 he has worked as a freelance songwriter and writer for radio and television.

Professional success

Joachim Relin created numerous successful titles, among others in collaboration with German pop composers. He provided the song Baby Sittin 'Boogie with a German text, which was sung by Ralf Bendix and published in 1961. The text of the hit song Shake Hands from 1964 also comes from his pen.

In 1965, two songs that he wrote with Bert Olden for Wanda Jackson reached the German-language charts. The hit Santo Domingo was fifth in Germany, first in Austria and fourteenth in Belgium; The song But then came Johnny reached number twenty-six in Germany and number eight in Austria.

Don't go past , a hit that he wrote for Christian Anders together with Joachim Heider reached number two in the German charts in 1969, number three in Switzerland and Austria, and number 22 in the Dutch charts.
