Johan Heinrich Knuth
Johan Heinrich "Henrik" Knuth-Knuthenborg , liege count of Knuthenborg-Gyldensteen (born August 22, 1746 at Gyldensteen Castle, Norre Sandager, Odense , Denmark ; † July 12, 1802 ) was a Danish landowner, chamberlain and privy councilor .
Life
Johan Heinrich Knuth came from the Mecklenburg- Danish noble family Knuth . His parents were the monastery administrator Eggert Christopher Knuth and his wife Marguerithe Knuth, née de Monteleone.
Count Knuth was feudal lord of the counties Knuthenborg and Gyldensteen. In 1772 he became chamberlain, in 1777 a white knight . From 1780 to 1783 he was ambassador to Dresden .
From 1790 to 1802 he was bailiff of the Faroe Islands , based in Copenhagen , and from 1796 to 1799 he was also bailiff of Roskilde and Zealand . From 1800 to 1802 he was bailiff of Copenhagen. Since Knuth died without male descendants, Knuth's property passed to his younger brother Frederik Knuth after his death .
Marriage and offspring
On February 26, 1772 Knuth married Konstantia Countess von Cosel (1756-1804) in Dresden. The marriage had five children:
