Johann Baptist Jakob Adolf Pittschaft

Johann Baptist Jakob Adolf Pittschaft (born March 18, 1783 in Mainz ; † August 12, 1870 ) was a Hessian judge and liberal politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Johann Baptist Jakob Adolf Pittschaft was the son of the Electorate Chamber Councilor Georg Joseph Pittschaft and his wife Kunigunde, née Fritsch. Pittschaft, who was of Catholic faith, remained unmarried.

Pittschaft studied law and became a judge at the Mainz Higher Court . In 1827 he became Vice President and in 1840 President of the Supreme Court. In 1848 he retired.

From 1829 to 1830 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of the city of Worms .
