Andreas Matty

Johann Andreas Matty (born August 7, 1800 in Alzey , † March 8, 1871 in Lonsheim ) was a German pastor and politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Life

Andreas Matty was the son of the pastor and inspector Friedrich Franz Matty (1755–1833) and his wife Anna Barbara , née Keßler. Matty, who was a Protestant, was married.

Matty studied Protestant theology in Giessen. During his studies he became a member of the Old Giessener Burschenschaft Germania in 1819 and of the Corps Rhenania Giessen in 1822 . After completing his studies, he was vicar in Alzey from 1822 to 1826 and in Kettenheim from 1826 to 1828. From 1828 to 1836 he was pastor in Eppelsheim and then resigned.

In 1850 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Rheinhessen 8 / Worms .
