Johann Friedrich von Krajewski

Johann Friedrich von Krajewski (* April 1742 in West Prussia , † February 6, 1807 in Danzig ) was a Prussian major general and commander of the infantry regiment "von Reinhart" .

Life

Krajewski became a private corporal in Garrison Regiment No. 2 of the Prussian Army in 1756 and took part in the battles near Groß-Jägersdorf , Torgau and Freiberg as well as the siege of Schweidnitz and the battle near Wehlau during the Seven Years' War . At that time he became ensign on February 8, 1758 and second lieutenant on August 10, 1762 .

After the war he was in 1772 on December 5, first lieutenant added, and the end of February 1773 the infantry regiment "of Lengefeld". Krajewski advanced to staff captain at the end of October 1777 . As such, he took part in the War of the Bavarian Succession in 1778/79 . On October 7, 1782 he became captain and company commander and rose as a major on April 19, 1791 to battalion commander. During the campaign in Poland in 1794/95 he fought in the Battle of the Rawka and in the capture of Warsaw . On June 4, 1794 he received the order Pour le Mérite . On January 17, 1796 he became lieutenant colonel and on June 18, 1798 colonel . On February 14, 1799, he became the commander of the "von Reinhart" infantry regiment. Shortly before the fourth coalition war , he was promoted to major general on May 20, 1806 with a patent from May 27, 1806. On January 20, 1807, he received his resignation with a pension of 1000 thalers. He died unmarried on February 6, 1807 in Danzig.
