Johann "Hans" Vielberth (born April 1, 1932 in Bodenwöhr ) is a German entrepreneur , holds a doctorate in economics and a founder .

Life

Johann Vielberth grew up in Regensburg . He studied for a year at Tulane University , then in Regensburg , Munich and Innsbruck , where he also received his doctorate. In addition to his entrepreneurial work, he was involved in various functions in committees, associations and institutions. Six children were born from his marriage to Erika Vielberth.

Entrepreneurial activity

After working in various industries, from the mid-1960s he specialized in the development of commercial real estate , shopping centers and industrial parks and since then has founded or initiated projects and locations at which around 800 companies with around 15,000 employees were represented in 2009, including the Danube mall GmbH , Regensburg Gewerbepark GmbH , the medical center Medipark Regensburg, the business campus in Garching near Munich , the Southwest Park in Nuremberg and numerous Euro-Rastpark- truck stops .

Vielberth also founded the working group for shopping and commercial centers in Germany, which he chaired for many years, and was a member of the trade committee of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK).

University work

In 1992, Vielberth established the Hans Vielberth University Foundation in Regensburg, under whose roof numerous partner and individual foundations were created. Among other things, he inspired Helmut Altner to found the “Pro Arte” university foundation to promote fine arts at the University of Regensburg in 1994. In 2003, on Vielberth's initiative, the Institute for Real Estate Management was founded at the University of Regensburg. With the change of the personalities responsible for the Department of Real Estate at the EBS University of Economics and Law to include Karl-Werner Schulte, the University of Regensburg has been bundling its related activities under the umbrella of the International Real Estate Business School ( IRE / BS ) since 2006 . The institute was constantly expanded with the addition of many new members, in 2009 there were 20 professors at the institute. The building named after Hans Vielberth, planned by the Frankfurt architect Ferdinand Heide , was awarded the first “ German University Building Prize ” in 2012 by the “German University Foundation” .

Development of the international communication system KOD

Vielberth has been pursuing the idea of ​​designing an international communication system as a cross-lingual means of communication since 1999. Together with international linguists, the eufo Institute he founded in 2000 is researching and developing a universal language called KOD (also COD) as a language competing with Esperanto , in which the respective mother tongue forms the basis of communication.
