Johanna Talihärm (born June 27, 1993 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian biathlete .

Career

Johanna Talihärm starts for the Nõmme Spordiklubi . She made her international debut at the 2010 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Torsby . There she was 68th of the individual, 55th of the sprint, 54th of the pursuit and with Karima Haldama and Grete Gaim as the final runners of the relay tenth. This was followed by appearances in the junior races of the 2010 European Biathlon Championships in Otepää, Austria . Talihärm reached the ranks 30 in the individual, 38 in the sprint and 41 in the pursuit. At the Junior World Championships a year later in Nové Město na Moravě she was 30th of the individual, 31st of the sprint, 22nd of the pursuit and just missed a medal with the relay together with Grete Gaim and Darja Jurlova in fourth place. In 2012 she started at the junior races of the European Championships in Osrblie , where Talihärm was 20th in the individual, 24th in the sprint, 22nd in the pursuit and 11th with the mixed relay. Shortly afterwards she started at the Junior World Championships in Kontiolahti and was there 23rd of the individual, 21st of the sprint, 24th of the pursuit and eleventh place in the relay. In 2013 she was 17th in the sprint at the Junior World Championships in Obertilliach . In other races, including in the pursuit race for which she had qualified, she did not take part.

Talihärm made her debut for women in 2010 in Martell in the IBU Cup and was 61st. In 2012 she was 39th in a sprint in Idre and won her first points in the second highest series. In Oberhof she could already previous season alongside Grete Gaim, Kristel Viigipuu and Daria Yurlova in a relay race in the Biathlon World Cup debut and 14th. Talihärm has competed regularly in the World Cup since the 2012/13 season . She contested her first individual race with a sprint at the start of the season in Östersund and finished 92nd on her next outing, a sprint in Hochfilzen , she just barely missed the pursuit in 66th place. In Oberhof she was able to achieve her best individual result in a sprint in 51st place and qualified for the first time for the pursuit race in which she was 52nd. The good performance brought her the qualification for the Biathlon World Championships 2013 in Nové Město na Moravě. In the Czech Republic the Estonian was 99th in the individual and 85th in the pursuit. With Kadri Lehtla , Kristel Viigipuu and Grete Gaim, she was also 20th in the lapped Estonian relay. At the 2015 Biathlon World Championships in Kontiolahti , she was 39th in a sprint to get points for the first time. So she also qualified for the pursuit, where she just missed the points as 44th. She celebrated her best result at the beginning of the 2015/16 Biathlon World Cup , where she finished 31st in the first race of the year, an individual in Östersund .

Johanna Talihärm is the oldest of three children. Her sister Grete and her brother Johan are also biathletes.
