Johannes Linke (born January 8, 1900 in Dresden , † December 31, 1945 ( declared dead )) was a German writer .

Bruno Edmund Johannes Linke was born as the son of the works secretary Wilhelm Friedrich Linke and his wife Emma Amalie Karoline Helene. Häcker was born on January 8, 1900 at Striesenerstraße 34 / III in Dresden. After which in January 1918 at the Dresden King George High School War High School had taken, he enlisted as a volunteer and was in the final stages of the First World War as a soldier on the Western Front used. After the end of the war he studied for a few semesters, but dropped out and lived in the Bavarian Forest from 1921 . He earned his living doing odd jobs, including working as a farm laborer, gardener and carpenter. A marriage in 1922 resulted in four children. In 1928 Linke began studying pedagogy , which he successfully completed. He then worked as a primary school teacher in the Vogtland town of Eichigt , then in Eckersdorf in Upper Franconia and finally in Lichteneck in the Bavarian Forest. He was also active as a writer. Left took part in World War II as a soldier ; He probably came in February 1945 on the Eastern Front killed and was dismissed by decision of the District Court Kötzting from 1. December 1964 to 31 December 1945 declared dead .

Johannes Linke was the author of novels , short stories , poems and plays . His work is strongly influenced by the National Socialist blood-and-soil ideology and hero worship . His most successful work was the novel A year rolls over the mountains , in which the author describes the effects of the global economic crisis on the region of the Bavarian Forest; the work experienced numerous new editions until 1987 and by 1954 had reached a total of over 60,000 copies.

Johann Linke was awarded the literary prize of the Reich capital Berlin in 1937. His books Das Reich , Symbol and Monument der Zeit , Das Totenbrünnel , Das Richtfest and Der Brunnstock were on the list of literature to be sorted out in the Soviet zone after 1945 .
