Johannes Werner (politician)

Johannes Werner (born November 25, 1958 in Euskirchen ) is a German bank manager and politician ( CDU ). He has been a member of the Berlin House of Representatives since May 28, 2020 .

Career

Werner completed an apprenticeship as a banker at Kreissparkasse Köln from 1974 to 1977 and then took on the position of Head of Corporate Customers. He interrupted his activity in 1980 for a short course at the Rheinische Sparkassenakademie in Düsseldorf , where he obtained the degree of savings bank economist in 1981 .

Finally, from 1985 onwards, he completed his studies at the teaching institute of the Deutsche Sparkassenakademie in Bonn , from which he graduated with a diploma in business administration.

In 1991 he moved from Cologne as a board member to Sparkasse Odenwaldkreis . In 2000 he was appointed chairman of the board of the Kreissparkasse Ostalb .

From 2009 to 2014 Werner was ultimately CEO of the Mittelbrandenburgische Sparkasse in Potsdam , which also includes Weberbank .

In 2015, Werner started his own business and since then has supported medium-sized companies and private individuals in solving financial issues and developing financial concepts. He is also a certified expert for property valuations as well as a consultant and adviser to a marketing company in Frankfurt am Main .

From 2004, Johannes Werner was also Vice-President of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry East Württemberg and Potsdam for ten years and, until 2019, advisory board member of various radio stations, including Radio B2 .

He has also been a psychological advisor since 2019 .

politics

Johannes Werner has been a member of the Berlin CDU district association Tempelhof Schöneberg since 2014, of which he was a member of the board for several years. Furthermore, he is a delegate of the state and district party congresses and, as an assessor, a member of the board of the local association Schöneberger Westen. He is also a member of the Seniors' Union .

He is now a member of the CDU district executive in Tempelhof-Schöneberg as a member of parliament .

Berlin House of Representatives

In the elections in September 2016 , Werner ran for the direct mandate of the constituency Tempelhof-Schöneberg 2 , but was clearly defeated. The mandate ultimately went to Catherina Pieroth-Manelli from Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen .

The Tempelhof-Schöneberg District Assembly should elect Werner on May 27, 2020 at the request of the CDU parliamentary group as deputy citizens' deputy in the economic committee . However, because of his unexpected move into the House of Representatives, Werner waived the acceptance, which was then legally invalid.

18th legislative period (since May 2020)

After the sudden death of Markus Klaer , Johannes Werner moved into the Berlin House of Representatives on May 28, 2020, when he accepted the mandate.

In the current legislative period, Werner is a member of the main committee and the districts and investment management subcommittees .

Private

Werner is honestly involved in numerous organizations and supervisory boards . He is a pastor at Berlin Airports , honorary senator of Aalen University of Technology and Economics and a member of the Rotary Club Potsdam. He is also a juror at the Berlin Regional Court (currently for adoption of the electoral mandate dormant).

Johannes Werner has two grown children from a previous marriage and he is also a five-time grandfather. He is now married again and lives with his husband in the Schöneberg district of Berlin .
