Josef Ostendorf
Josef Ostendorf (* 1956 in Cloppenburg ) is a German actor .
Career
After studying at the drama school in Bochum , Josef Ostendorf's first engagements took place at the stages in Moers, Wuppertal and Basel. Later he was a member of the ensemble of the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg (1993–2000), the Zürcher Schauspielhaus , the Volksbühne Berlin and the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. Since the 2013/2014 season he has been committed to the Deutsches Schauspielhaus again .
Ostendorf has also appeared sporadically since the 1980s and regularly in film and television since the 1990s. For example, he played in the first movie by the Augsburger Puppenkiste , The Story of Monty Spinnerratz (1996), the main human role of the evil New York real estate speculator Mr. Dollart, and also played the father in Otto - The Disaster Film (2000). Ostendorf also embodied numerous episode roles in various crime series and series, for example in Adelheid and their murderers , Die Pfefferkörner or Tatort .
In 2002 and 2003 Ostendorf was seen in the role of Gernot at the Nibelungen Festival in Worms. In 2005 and 2006 he was a guest at the Schauspielhaus Frankfurt . Among other things, he played Dionysus in Die Bakchen there . In November 2006 Josef Ostendorf was seen in the movie Eden and in 2008 in Heinrich Breloer's Mann adaptation Buddenbrooks as Senator Möllendorpf.
Ostendorf regularly plays in productions by Christoph Marthaler (including the zero hour or the art of serving , Danton's death , protection from the future ). In the Marthaler production at Berlin's Volksbühne Die Fruchtfliege , Josef Ostendorf plays a genetic researcher who sings “Music of the Night” in an evening dress.
