Jozef Čapkovič (born January 11, 1948 in Bratislava ) is a former Slovak football player . He became European champion in 1976 with the Czechoslovak national team .

Club career

Čapkovič started his career at FK Inter Bratislava and moved to Slovan Bratislava together with his brother Ján Čapkovič . During his time at Slovan he was Czechoslovakian champion in 1974 and 1975, and cup winner in this country in 1974. After ten years at Slovan, he ended his active football career three years later as his brother.

International career

He made his international debut in 1974 against the GDR . At the European Football Championship in 1976 in Yugoslavia , he was European champion with Czechoslovakia. In total, he played 16 times for his home country.
